Hey all
Like it says: the sun has done a job on my rear spoiler.
I DO HAVE the accessory longer version but I don't really like the look of it.
Anyone know where to grab a nice OEM one? I been all over eBay, car-part want to sell me hatch.
PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL, if you have one please just send me a DM. Don't post it here. THANKS.
Wow that’s scary ! If other parts get like that , that’s a problem.
sometimes when part searching after I type ZDX I look up and google changed it to MDX! As if “ Dude you must mean MDX cause we ain’t got nothing for a ZDX.

I just wonder if it can be safely removed (?) but leave a clean surface. It isn’t like it’s actually needed at normal traffic speeds, and I personally think it interrupts the ZDX’s clean lines.

There are fasteners that go through, would need to be filled.
i agree about the look imo its not needed at all. i despise the larger one even more,
That sucks because I like mine with it and if it got damaged and can’t buy one o would not be happy.
Guess that’s the bad side of older rare cars
Yeah, I like mine as well. I'm glad I got it when I did. It has gone away just like the running boards. The parts are disappearing. I would love to find OEM lighted side steps. The crazy thing is that I'm starting to see more (not many) ZDXs in the used market now.
Deck Lid Spoiler - Crystal Black Pearl - Acura (08F02-SZN-221)
thats the accessory one. the longer one. On white, the black looks funny where it goes overr the white paint. If Spoiler was white, it looks funny on the black glass.
Thanks for checking. THe one i want is the same on every vehicle EXCEPT THOSE with the accessory LONGER one.
And you and Kevin talking about parts, I needed a Passenger side headlight. I was able to score a brand new one.
WHen i tried to get the Drivers side....sorry, NO MAS>
Lol ! I drive slower now and careful because sounds like I could have a new fender after a wreck but have to resort to two flashlights for headlights !😂
I had upgraded my spoiler and I think the Acura accessory one looks great. You sure you're not open to it? I know you said because of the white, but the white and black may look great.
Try them: Acura Baton Rogue, LA. Although the part is labeled discontinued on most sites, I was able to place the part in my shopping cart and and was one step away from purchasing it. Give them a try. Cost: $292.18 before shipping.

"I do not have this part in stock and was able to check every dealer in the country. No one has it in stock and it is currently on backorder with no ETA. Because of that, I have to cancel the order. I apologize and wish we could have helped. "

I've had various parts renovated and have been around shops enough to know that that spoiler can be sanded down and painted. Easy. Any shop that's telling you otherwise more than likely thinks it's too inexpensive of a job to actually give a damn. Go somewhere else. That's an easy job. Any chips or form imperfections can be filled in prior to painting.
I agree with @Type34 . And I know you don't care for the looks of the accessory spoiler (I don't either), but going with that would at least cover up that sun damage.

Yeah I was hoping for a factory one. They arent just sanding/spraying that piece. Its some kind of plastic and its warped a bit concave. Would require filling sanding painting. If I remove and install, 2 shops wanted about 300 bucks.
So I really should replace it, even if its with a used one that needs paint.
Im in FLA now and the farking sun is brutal. I talked to the wrap guys, they warranty 2 years. Paint guy says 5 years.
Ill post up when i het it figured//
Im moving into my house in a month so I have other priorities LOL
