Hot-wiring radar detector....
Has anyone out there (fellow ZDXers) successfully hotwired their radar detector? I'm looking for pics, step-by-step instructions to permanently hotwire my Valentine1 so that I can mount it high on the my windshield by the sunvisor/rearview mirror. I don't want to screw up my stereo/nav system or anything else, so I need some guidance.....

I found this link today from the MDX guys. I dont have any experience with installing a radar detector but [/URL]this thread caught my eye after some people have had issues with an install.

My V1 is tapped into the driver's window fuse. This was done so that I can turn off the radar detector with the window lockout button.
Sorry, I don't have a DYI, I paid $50 to a tint/alarm shop to do it. I tried to do it myself (I was able to do it on my TL-S) but the fact that the panels are so neatly stuck together persuaded me to just pay someone else to do it.
I have the radar mounted to the right of the rear view mirror, below the tint strip, then I have a concealed display mounted on the left part of the dash, by the window.
