CMBS working or not?

My ACC works great (worth every penny), but I am thinking the CMBS is not. I get no warning light to "BRAKE" as the manual says, and/or braking and beep if I approach a slower or stopped vehicle at speed. Also, no message in the MID that the system is broken. I've tried it several times and nothing happens; so I hit the brakes before I crash. Yes, the CMBS light works if I turn the system off. I'm at a loss. I could call the dealership, but I don't want to seem like I'm stupid (I am at times). Can anyone help?

My CMBS is pretty sensitive. Mine has even gone into stage two when a car cut me off.

try using the acc in stop and go traffic and let the acc go till the very end. It will turn off at about 20mph and start to flash brake soon after.

If not have the dealer check it out. Mine comes on quite a bit which I like.

Thanks. Will try your suggestions, but I have a feeling now my CMBS is not working at all.

Mine came up a few times (maybe it's the way I drive ;-).
But the 1st time my seat belt 'yanked' itself (to alert me), it scared the heck out of me!

The 2nd time worked real well though when some 'idiot' cut in front of me and again, my seat belt yanked itself twice + the 'BRAKE' alert flashing on the board.

Have that checked out would be my suggestion.

I think I may be too aggressive when driving. I’m always triggering the CMBS and getting the brake light flashing. A couple times I was going to pass a car going really slow and coming up to the car it yanked the seat belt and killed the power. Then when I had to dodge the car I had no power and almost got rear ended. I don’t really like the CMBS and feel it is dangerous in some situations.

Killed the power? You mean the ZDX turned the engine off (shut down) completely?

That's just crazy...

Yup, foot to the floor and no go for a couple seconds till it realizes the coast is clear.

Finally got the CMBS to work, but almost crapped myself as I had to get way too close for comfort to see if the system worked on a turning vehicle. If I did not know what I was doing I would be SOL now with major damage to the ZDX and who knows how much damage to the other car. No more experimenting.

Ok yeah no more experimenting. Claim ratio is already high on our insurance rating for this vehicle.
