I was having fun in the RDX forums when someone mentioned a ZDX Type S would be bad ass, so as a former owner of a ZDX, I wanted to have a little PS fun

I thought you guys would enjoy it as well...

Great work, needs a slopping roofline. I would love to see a new addition ZDX!

I know it's hard to tell in that angle, but I actually sloped it quite a bit from the MDX. It's more Macan than MDX now as I sloped it and truncated the rear window.

Considering even VW makes the Cross Sport from the Atlas, Acura can alter the MDX with an aggressive slope line and custom tweaks like 21" wheels. The ZDX should be the flagship.

Sadly, I can’t see it happening…

Sadly, because the ZDX suffered abysmal sales figures after Acura was willing to stick their neck out a bit and put most of their cards the that basket, only to lose big, I can’t see them doubling down today on a new ZDX, especially until the chip shortage is over. They seem much more
focused on the safe bets of adding Type S to their best selling models. As a conciliation prize, I’d love to see a Type S RDX, and I believe that will be the next one they produce. Meanwhile, we can still dream.
