Hey all, this place is too quiet lately! I bought my 07 TL-S in April and have yet to do any mods. It's a NBP and all I've done so far is get the Weathertech floor mats and Tint the windows.

Where did you guys with A-spec kits get it done? Did you buy the kits in the States and have it installed locally or did you buy locally as well?

The only thing I want to do is lower it, get the a-spec lip kit, and then some 19" rims/wheels in the spring.

For now though I am looking for winter tires that will fit on the stock Type-S rims. We can't really buy cheap steelie rims with the Brembo Brakes!

I have seen some silver steelies on MT TLs around Edmonton last winter. I am not sure what they are but I think you can get some at the dealerships. Probably gonna be expensive. Try looking for another set of TL wheels to put winter tires on. Any stock TL wheels will fit over the brakes. That's what I did and I got a set of 05 stock wheels with winters.

 

That's a good point, never thought of that. I don't mind the Type-S rims being my winter rims as well since I plan on getting nicer rims in the spring. We'll see but gotta figure it out soon with the snow coming!

craftsman collision on cambie st and marine dr. really good i take my car there everytime the job is done perfect paint matches exactly and they give lifetime warranty. there prices are lil high but if icbc paying then shouldn't matter

Has anyone changed their cabin filter in the 04-08 tl ? If so what did you use and where did you buy from? I looked online at the atp one but all the places want way too much to ship so i would like to buy locally.

 

i bought mine from a local acura dealer. i think it was like 30 bucks or something. you replacing it yourself?

 

i changed mine too... go to lordco and get the bosch charcoal filter they block the bad odors from outside really well

 

Yeah i am going to do it myself, looks pretty easy.

Thats what i would like is a charcoal one, i looked on the ATP site and they list B&J in coquitlam as a distributor,they are right near my work and have always been cheaper than lordco even with a discount so i am going to check them out first. Thanks for the reply though, the lordco is right there too, so an easy stop if B&J doesnt sell them.

Do you know if they Block skunk smell from outside? Seems like once every 2 weeks or so i am driving past a ran over one

 

^ i dont remember but i notice when i drive on alex fraser bridge passed the sewage place the smell doesnt come through anymore.
