Installing Body Kit

I just ordered the underbody kit and flaps from AckTL05. (Doing the front/sides with the kit, and back w/ flaps.) Wondering if anyone can suggest the best place to have it installed. Sounds like the rate at the dealer to install here in BC is $375+tax.

I'll probably hire a bodyshop or just take it to the dealer. Thought that if there was a good bodyshop people could recommend, I'd check there first.

Its a 4G TL. Should all fit fine... I didn't want to go with the back part of the kit at this time, so I opted to use flaps in the back. If I change my mind at a later date, I can always sell the mud flaps kit.

BTW, I just don't think I trust myself enough to do it myself on a car that's only a couple months old.

If it's a 4G TL, you'll need to drill a bunch of holes into the front and the rear bumpers in order to install the front and the rear OEM aero pieces.

It is wise to let the pros do it.

I have my kit now. I sent a note off to the dealer. Just wondering if it makes more sense to take it to a bodyshop or just let them do it. If anyone knows of a great bodyshop in the GVRD I'd really appreciate the tip! Thanks!

dealer will obviously say for them to do it, and probably for alot of $$$
i still think you should do it yourself, it isnt very hard.

Good grief... Went to a bodyshop today in Burnaby and the guy told me it would be $800. I found it extremely challenging to keep a straight face. I know the dealership is at $375 for the whole kit (if you break out the parts). So I'll start by doing the rear mud flaps myself.

North Shore Acura offered to do it for $300. Sounded like a good deal to me so I just had them do it. Looks awesome!

Hey, can you upload photos here or do they get linked only?
