I just installed my progress swaybar. Took me at roughy 45 minutes without using the new endlinks and only removing one wheel. I definitely recommend the 3G owners to buy this kit, i can pretty much do slaloms now. Lol. I tried going around southgate's upper parkade and it was a ton of fun. It corners flat and stable. (i even popped a couple of alarms. Hahahah)

Also, I'm going to sell my brand new OEM endlinks for 25$. I will post them up on kjiji for 50$.

I have mine on soft settings. Once I get my TL-S front sway bar, I'll change is to stiff.

Well if u get the tls front,it will tame some of the effectivness of the rear.try stiff now,and after you put the tls front in,you'll notice it will gain abit of understeer back.but of course less body roll.

Hey, hoping you guys can give me some advice on what to do.

2005 Acura TL

A few weeks ago my passenger headlight would start flickering when I turned my lights on, until it eventually went out. If I turned my lights off completely then turned them back on, it would do the same thing, come on for a few seconds, start flickering then go back out. Sometimes when I turned them off and turned them back on it would stay on.

But now its gotten to the point where its not coming on at all.

I was guessing the bulb was just on its last legs and now its burnt out and needs replacing, but when I called acura they told me if its only the bulb it will be about 300 dollars to put in a new one, but it could also be a wiring problem or a problem with the HID igniter so I'm looking anywhere between $300 to $1000 dollars to have it fixed.

Has anything similar to this happened to anyone? And does anyone know a good place in town to have this fixed for a reasonable price?

@diesel2086...could be the ballast, but i would just try swapping my bulb from one side to the other to diagnose the issue.

These bad boys arrived on Friday. I'm very surprised how quickly they came to my door. I ordered them on Jan 15th I believe and already got them on the 20th from heeltoe. Now I only have to count down the days until winter is gone.

Vince, just like myron said, slap on some 25 mm on the front and 35mm on the back and you will be golden! Or buy these, https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/wedssport-sa55m-gunmetal-no-tires-844856/
I know you like them :P

For the installation of coils, WheelsPlus did mine and I think they did a good job. They didn't scratch my wheels, and the turnover was fast. I would definitely go back there whenever I get my coilovers.

For those who are thinking of buying an exhaust

^ 35mm on stock wheels? haha you crazy arthur. If slammed 2-2.5" all around with 25mm spacers it'd be perfectly flush and no gap all around. Back would be cambered pretty hard though

Wait, i forgot his fenders are not rolled. Haha. If he rolls it, it would be possible. I'm going to run 23mm spacers on the rear this summer. Final offset would be 18x9 +15 wrapped with 235/40/18. We shall see. Haha.

you could have gotten the 25mm one, those 2mm won't make a difference. You should roll your fenders more, they aren't rolled flat right?

Yea. The thing is I'm not too sure if I'm going to rub with 235/40/18. If i do, i can just take the 3mm off and hopefully it wont rub anymore. They aren't that flat. Know any places?

Haha yeah I can finally put those 25mm spacers I have to use.

Damn Arthur you should have just bought my 25mm spacers and quit screwing around with your 20mm bolt on and 3mm spacer. I do have (4) 25mm spacers lying around Lol I saw those wheels in the BM. It's too bad they aren't finished in the color I want though!
I wouldn't mind getting a set of these volks if I weren't planning on a vacation this summer: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...source=message

Myron are you saying I should put 25mm on all 4's? Would that push the fronts out too far?

yea put them on all 4, it wouldn't be too far. I am pretty sure your wheels won't be poking out, it'll look good. And if you don't like it, just take them off and put something smaller there.

^ Right sounds good! Are you still down to help me with the install this summer? Fellow member DeathMetal made a comprehensive DIY. Sort of confusing to me but I can get all the tools lol. https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-tires-wheels-suspension-97/diy-ht-spec-coilver-install-dummies-any-other-suspension-3g-garage-d-091-a-816065/

Also, I've been really interesting in modding my tails lately. Not too stoked on the idea of cutting them open, but this diffuser mod looks promising. Really gives the rear end a more modern look at night. https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-photograph-gallery-96/i-am-genius-tail-light-mod-without-cutting-up-tail-light-pics-inside-844692/
Arthur since you're moving onto more exterior mods, I'd highly recommend you do custom headlights and taillights. A proper set of modded taillights would set your car off even more.

Vince, do you know if the TL-S wheel and base wheel has the same offset?

That tail light mod is only good for the 04-06 base tail lights and TL-S tail light lights. For the 07-08 base tail lights, you will see the led board.

I'm happy with my tail lights right now. I don't think there are any other better tail lights for a white TL besides the diffuser removal. As for the headlights, I really want to do the black chrome paint.

I'd imagine the wheels are the exact same specs since my winter setup are 04-06 stockies. They clear my brembos without any spacers.

Here is a set of type-s tails with the clear diffuser from 04-06 tails. Looks sick! Type-s sidemarkers would compliment it quite nicely too

Yea vince, we can do the suspension this summer. I helped a guy do mine, and then with the help of JBond we put my stock one back on. Yours will be easier because we don't have to take the top hats off so there will be no spring compressing and all that crap. We can just undo top and bottom and slide it out, put new one in and bolt it all up. Then we have to see how to adjust the height and that but it shouldn't be too hard.

^Just tell them to install it and you will do the coilover adjustment?

About that tail light, that doesn't look too bad!

Awesome! Yeah the height adjustment shouldn't be bad at all. It's a matter of twist one ring clockwise and keep the ring above it still.
