Hello there. I am new to this board, and i sincerely apologize if i have posted this in the wrong section (admin, please place in the proper area, if this is the wrong section...tyty)

So i am having a problem with getting back a $500 vehicle holding fee back from a certain dealership in BC. The "refundable deposit" was just to hold the specifc car for 48hours while i made my decision whether or not to purchase the vehicle. In the end, i did not purchase the vehicle. And now i am having to jump through hoops to even try to get this money back. Today is 1 month, since the dealership told me that my money would be returned to me cheque via mail. I was notified through email yesterday that i "needed to come in and discuss the matter"

This is totally outrageous, or is it not?

I have thoughts of talking to my lawyer and or the better business bureau of canada. But i do not want to escalate it to that degree yet.

Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated.
