You're just figuring that out? Best tip is to soak the applicator pad in water. Wring it out really good and then spritz the pad with a little Z6 every once and while when you apply Z2 or Z5.

Learning to put Zaino on thin is a struggle, took me about a year to finally accept I just couldn't see it on the car. If you feel the resistance when you're applying the polish it is greater when you're applying polish to dry paint and less when there is a coat of Zaino there. It's OK to lightly apply Z-6 to the applicator or the car to help it spread better. Z-6 is really helpful on hot or dry days as is making sure the sponge inside is damp before you start.

Like Ira said . . .
a whole mixing bottle (2 ounces) is a lot of zaino for your car.
my last zfx apply was to a SSEI (4 doors, large car) and i got 3 layers out of half a bottle . . . . and some leftover. Its not a brag, just a re-enforcing comment - you can get away with way less for your car and still get the results we all speak of.

yeah, i've learned in the last 6 months how to really layer the thin coats. The z6 really made a huge difference. From now on i'll be going with 1/2 bottle of zfx.
Z6 is truely amazing!!!!!

Hey, let me in on this
. On my red Toyota Camry Solara, just the other day, getting it ready for winter, mixing up one ounce of Z-2 with four drops ZFX equals three coats on the paint, three coats on the wheels and a coat on the glass, with a tiny bit left over. AND Z-6'ing before, after and in between. And then the wife says, "Now do it to my car." Maybe next week.

Got 4 coats of Z2 last weekend on 1/2 bottle w/ 3 drops of ZFX. Put 3 on a G35 and 1 on the CL-S (CL-S had 6 coats already and the G35 was brand new).
Layer it thin...this stuff will last! For sure, a little goes a long way!

That's because you use way to much. It should take 1 or maybe 2 thin stripes on a clean applicator to do the windshield. If you can any more than a slight distortion on the glass, you're using too much. Glass is actually good for learning how thin you can put it on as it tells all.
