Zaino or Dyna? *IS CONFUSED*
Zaino or Dyna? *IS CONFUSED*
Hey guys...
I'm getting a TL in AM in a few days (12/4/04) and we all know that the dealer won't properly wax the car, if at all so I'd like to know your opinions on the two products. AM doesn't have as much luster to the color as say white, blue, or black so I was wondering whether to go with Zaino or DYNA.
Now I know that as a whole we are rather fanatical about Zaino, and I've seen some nice pics with the stuff, but let's face it, it takes a while to properly apply and I'm too cheap to constantly toss out $100 to test it, then spend another $100 on the DYNA products.
Yeah, I know that you have to experiment, but you guys have already done all the work for me
So which do you prefer, and why... and let us not forget that when it comes to talking about the shine that:
so feel free to back up the claim with some pics
Thanks!

I've tested out both DyNa and Zaino and prefer DyNa over Zaino -
Few Reasons -
-DyNa's products actually help with the swril marks - I unfortunately bought crappy towels and put swirl marks all over my car.
Zaino's Z-5 didn't really help with the swril marks. Maybe I used it wrong but I put a couple coats and did not notice a difference.
-DyNa's product was easier to use for me because the Polish (Step#1 and Ultimate Cleaner) breaks down as you apply it. As you polish it in, it starts to break down so you know when to move on.
I still don't know if I applied Zaino correctly... I used Thin even coats ?
- I wasted a lot of Zaino Polish the first couple attempts because I ran out of time or over estimated the amount I was going to use. You are supposed to throw away the Zaino Polish after 12 hours of mixing it with ZFX. With DyNa there is no guess work of how much you are going to use.
-Keep in mind the 100 dollars gives you different Products along with the Polish...
Here's a Shot of my NBP I did over this weekend. NBP has blue sparkles in it that DyNa really brought out. Almost makes my car looks Blue...

never ever heard of Dyna, but have worked w/ Zaino, it is a good product if you are someone who doesn't like waxing a car often, just doesn't do it for me in the looks department.
DyNa is used by Detailing Dynamics. I had a chance to meet Mike Lee of DD this weekend when he detailed my car. His hard work and careful application of the products did wonders on my car. It was scratched up pretty badly by the dealer's car wash a week ago, and he was able to restore the luster and scratchless surface this weekend.
Hey Lore, can you provide some pics of your TL please.
I'm getting an Anthracite at well... I love the black, green and blue, but AM provides the best of all worlds IMO (clean, rich, sporty, and can hide minor blemishes well).
5 DAYS TO GO!!!!
//Now I just need to find a good finance rate, hehehe.

Some of the scratches required a little bit more effort and that's where he used their rubbing compound with a high-speed unit to remove those.

I still have some swirl marks but A LOT less and less noticable...
If you have a flawless car and don't need to remove swirls, you could just buy Step#3 - The High Gloss Sealant + Liquid Gloss. This is the step that gives it the Wet Look.
Step#1 is a solution for Swirls.
