Zaino?

Just finished Zainoing the car. I know its not a wax, but should it feel as though the car has just been waxed? How should the paint feel? I'm just wondering if I did it rite.

Did you use any clay beforehand? It should be smooth if you did. Otherwise, it won't seem much different than before.

Yea, I did use the clay. It's super smooth..Its just don't feel like the oily feeling like wax.
Doesn't glide like wax.

That's because Zaino is a polish, not a wax - it wont be oily. How many coats did you put on?

This is my first coat.

Question:
My first coat is ZFX+Z2.
For my second coat, do i do the same? or just Z2?

Just Z2. the ZFX helps the polish to bond to the clearcoat.

I put at least 3 coats on. Ya, it takes a while, but it is worth it. Just wait til it rains and see how well the water beads off the car

I always use ZFX with Z2.

This is from Zaino application tips (www.zainostore.com)

1. Apply Zaino Show Car Polish enabled with ZFX™ with a 100%, made in the USA, cotton applicator. Use the polish sparingly. A small amount goes a long way, and you will be applying multiple coats.
2. Squirt a dime size dab of polish on your applicator and rub it into your paint using circular hand motions. Then, go over the same area using a straight back and forth motion on top panels and an up and down motion on side panels. Allow the polish to haze over (20 minutes is sufficient).
3. Buff off the Show Car Polish residue with a high quality, 100%, made in the USA, cotton detailing towel.
4. After buffing, spray the car with a light mist of Z-6 Ultra Clean™ detailing spray. Z-6 will help buff away any remaining residue and enhances the brightness of the finish. Using Z-6, the next coat of Zaino Show Car Polish will apply even easier.

You're now ready to apply your next coat of Zaino Show Car Polish enabled with ZFX™. There's no need to wait. Simply follow steps 1-4 above one more time.

Nick’s unsolicited Zaino Tips & Tricks

"It is not necessary to use Z-1 or ZFX every time that you apply Zaino. Mr. Z says to use it the first time and every tenth coat thereafter."

This page should answer nearly all of your Zaino questions

Hi Folks,
I added another 2-coats of Z2 & 2-coats of Z6 over the holiday weekend.
The results are the best I've ever achieved. I'm simply wow-ed by the depth and gloss of the finish. At certain angles, I could swear that the paint was still wet.
Its a lot of work, but, the results have been worth it. So far so, good.

I also noticed that I haven't added to my stone chip collection after my initial application of Zaino.
I'm wondering if the Zaino has somehow toughen up the paint.

Has anyone else noticed this or have I've been just lucky with the stone chips?
