zaino?

quick question on zaino, i just bought zfx, i almost fell over when i seen how little the vile was. Anyway, i emailed sal and he said it should last about 20 ounces, anybody have any idea how many ounces it takes to do a car on average? The little tubes that come with the zfx are 2 ounces each, is 1 tube enough for 1 coat? or more? or less? thanks, i always think im using too much.

You're supposed to use 5-10 drops for every 2 oz. You don't have to use ZFX every time either!

I found that the first time I zaino'd my car, I used the the ZFX enhanced Z5, and one 2 oz bottle got me two complete coats for the car. When I switched to the ZFX enhanced Z2, I had some Zaino left over after putting on the 2nd coat. The next day I only filled the 2 oz bottle just shy of 7/8ths full and I still had a small amount left after putting on 2 coats, which I used on the rims. My experience was that once you started applying this, you seemed to require less and less to cover the car during subsequent coats. This could also be attributed to the Z6 between coats which does appear to help slicken the surface, thereby allowing a little to go a long way as Zal states. if this helps ...

I suspect you should be able to get a good 3 coats in with a 2 oz bottle. Zaino should be applied extremely thinly, and you will probably be putting too much on your first time however.

I just did Z5 and Z2 over the weekend.

1oz of Z5 and 5 drops of ZFX. Shake like mad!! I got three coats (very thin of coarse).

then next day (24 hours after the last coat)
1oz of Z2 and 5 drops of ZFX. Shake like mad!! I got three coats.

Results!

the ZFX is an accelerator for the drying time of the Z'n' you're using. If you don't want to be able to put on multiple coats in a relatively short period of time, you can Zaino without ZFX. all this means is that you'll have/want to wait longer for each application to dry before buffing it off.
