then i would recommend 3M SMR, if that doesn't get it out then maybe scratch-x, but ya just got to work with it.

I just bought and used Z5 for my spring cleaning. Although I take reasonably good care of my NBP CL-S, this winter left a number of swirls.

Z5 works as advertised. It seemed to make the swirls less noticeable, but did not remove them. I did three layers of the stuff -- maybe more would help. I'm happy with the results, but my car's finish would need more work to be absolutely perfect (and for me, I cannot justify the effort -- black cars will get some swirls, it's part of life).

I'll probably continue to alternate coats of Z5 and Z2 throughout the spring & summer. We'll see what happens.

yup, to take full advantage of MOST swirl removers it needs to be applied with a buffer and needs to be taken off with a buffer.

if z5 doesnt hide them well enough for you, then you could try scratch-x - and them if thats not good enough - 3M.

remembering scratch-x and 3m are abrasives actually impacting the clearcoat - and the z5 is simply using opticalpropeties to hide them . ..

if they bug your friend - have them removed . . .

i actually just bought meguires scratch x today as my first scratch remover. (have a silver car, cant see scratches very well) i was really impressed on how well it works. One application got out most of my fine scratches but some bigger ones required 4-5. Either way its a really good product. i also have swirls marks on my car but you cannot tell they are on there unless you dip your head close to the hood, are in my garage and let the light bounce into your eyes. I cant see them when i am in daylight so they are not a big problem for me. i never knew i had so many hairline scratches until i started looking for them.

To remove swirls you have to heat up the clear coat....to do this....you need a buffer!
