wiping dust off

does wiping dust off with a 100% cotton towel put scratches on the paint?
very fine scratches?
i always have dust on my car the day after i wash it (yes NBP) so sometimes i take the dust off by using the cotton towel

or would it be best to rinse the car and then dry with the towel instead?

thanks

Use something like Meg's Final Detail and a micro fiber towel. The FD will gather the dust and the micro won't let it build up in one place on the towel.

Try using a different car wash solution. I've noticed a big difference in the amount of dust that gathers on the car the day after washing (and the few days after) based on what I used to wash the car.

I was bothered by the dust collecting on top of my car and on the hood and trunk top, so i washed the car today. Felt good washing a new car

Next time you wash, try using Eagle Ones Wax as u dry. Its an excellent product, i use it as a QD also, but i dilute it to get more product for my buck. You simply spray on the car surface while its still wet, then dry in the usual fashion. It leaves a very slick carnauba film on the surface which will help alleviate dust build up. Extends washing periods also.

When my Zaino is fresh (first few months), I'll QD with Z6 or Meg's FI and a MF if it's not too dusty. Almost always QD after a regular wash.

Use with common sense, too much dust, and yes, your asking for trouble ! Dusters should only be used for very light dust.....

use the california duster. Let it cure for a few weeks wrapped in newspaper though. The dirtier the thing gets the better it works

That newspaper tip is good. It helps "drain" out some of the excess parafin wax so that it would show up on your paint. Good Point !
