Will wax prevent chipping?

Just out of curiousity and plain paranoia, I am wondering how I can minimize chipping damage to my NBP baby(stones, debris, etc.). I know there are film protectants out there like the clear 3M film, but I was wondering if there was anything else. For example, does any form of wax/polish/seal out there protect the car from small dings and chips? Maybe several layers of zaino?? I've never waxed or detailed a car before so please don't hate on me if I'm asking a dumb question, I really don't know. Thanks.

No, it won't. It provides some protection, but no protectant will prevent a rock from hitting the hood at 40 mph from leaving a scar.

Get a clear bra from Xpel.com and you'll have much better protection.

If you're going with a clear bra, get one sooner than later. My car is almost 2 years old and my front bumper has seen better dayz.
