White spots/circles on hood (pics)

Hi everyone. Since recently purchasing my '10 PMM TSX 3 months ago, I've noticed theses white spots/circles on my hood. Don't know if they're from rock chips, oxidation, tree sap etc. Would anyone know how to remedy this? Perhaps a professional detailer?

looks like some sort of droplet type contaminant. is there a texture/feel to it? the first pic looks like sap residue...the 2nd one...can't tell since your shadow is in the way.

your best bet is to take it to a professional detailer (one that actually does paint correction) to determine what it is and the best course of action to fix it.

There's definitely no feel to it so I'm guessing its a clear coat issue. Definitely gonna take it to a detailer. Thanks!

If it looks like tiny cracks...then you may have spider webbing in the clear coat which is not good.

If they weren't there 3 months ago I'm not sure what you expect your dealer to do.

I'm hoping the problem can be remedied by a detailer. If not, then I'm gonna talk to my Acura dealership, as the car is still under the 5 year Certified Pre-Owned warranty. I'm hoping for the best.

It could be also from bird droppings. It looks like the clear coat is cracked. If the clearcoat fails it also means the base of the paint has also failed. Not a quick fix. Take it to Acura or call around to a couple of places and see what they say.

Let us know what you did. Might help someone else with the same problem.
