When to apply Carnuba over SG - or not

I ended up using Klasse AIO and SG over the weekend, car came out great
and I have so far used 2 coats of SG. Now, if I keep adding wash and then SG
over the next few weeks (a few more coats say) and then I top it off with a
good carnuba wax - am I done with the SG for the season?

Seems to me that the beauty of the SG is you can keep adding it
as it dosen't yellow or build up really. The carnuba wax would be
the topper, but I assume 6 or more coats of SG would be a great
shine too and the car would be well protected,
but the carnuba ends the coats of SG, right?

Anybody have some insights into this?

Your wasting product and time after about the 3rd coat. Any visual advantages will be non discernable. Your better off stopping at 3 coats, and applying a carnauba product monthly thereafter.
Any yes, once youve applied Carnauba, youve lost the ability to add additional SG.

Agree with exceldetail here. Anything after 3 coats would be unnecessary.

~One mans opinion / observations~

I’d also agreed that two to four cross-linked (cured) polymer applications are usually considered optimum

A polymer sealant has a greater durability than Carnauba wax as it melts at 180oF and evaporates / erodes over time (dependant upon ambient temperatures and climatic conditions) which limits its durability. As a general rule-of-thumb: 50% after 30 days, 75% is gone after 60 days and after 90 days it should be reapplied, or apply further SG if that's what you want to do

~Hope this helps~

Carnuba/SG

I'm a little confused
If you apply a carnuba over SG can you no longer apply SG? Or is it that after the carnuba has worn off or is taken off you can apply SG?

That's exactly what i was trying to figure out.
I wasn't sure if I should use the SG when I wanted to use a carnauba.
But this article clears it up. AIO then Caranuba without SG.
Thanks again.
