I have used several different kinds of waxes over the years and just wanted to get some recent opinions. I have been considering Meguiar's Ultimate liquid wax.

What are you trying to accomplish with the wax? Remember wax is just a protectant it does not polish. I reccomend first claying, polish, wax and seal. Stay away from junk waxes that you find for cheap.

The best sealant you can get (IMHO) is Blackfire Wet Diamond w/ Polycharger. Cover with any decent wax. I prefer Poorboy's World Natty's blue or red (if you can find it).
The shine will blow you away.

Sarge, jump into our Wash & Wax Section of Acurazine. There's a wealth of knowledge, pictures and opinions about this very subject!
When I got my Type S, the dealership suggested Zaino products. They work well. But in the Wash & Wax section, you'll get an entirely different feel for a lot of product on the market. Since then, I've tried some "boutique" waxes, like Dodo Juice-very good stuff. Also, look up Merzerna products, Griot's Garage products-just to start out with.

I am less impressed with Black Fire than others...
Currently used on a dark blue 335i. Polished with Optimum polish by PC.

Zaino is a good product and I've heard great things about Blackfire Wet Diamond. I'm tempted to buy it and try it out on silver and white but I've heard it's good only for dark colors...

I have a black car and I loved zaino!! specially on how it lasts so long. I still get water beading from it and its been 5 months since I have applied it and it really gives a good shine to it. But for correcting the paint its useless.

Not just Zaino ... as with the rest of the sealants prep is the keyand sealants don't correct.

You might want to reverse thoser 2 steps ... Sealants don't work well over waxes.

I just tired out the Meg's NXT 2.0. It did an AWESOME job of filling in all the little scratches and crap that an 80,000 mile car collects. I'm very happy with it so far and I'll probably put on another coat or 2 to really help it last a while.
Havent gotten it wet yet, but its dangerous to lean against the car as you might just slide right off lol

I like NXT 2.0 as well, currently have the paste version on my car. I think it has some cleaners in it though, so it may not be good for layering.
Looking forward to trying AGHD next, hopefully I can grab it while it's still on sale.

I just used Blackfire Wet Diamond for the first time this weekend. Doesn't give the same nice wet gloss that Four Star UPP does so my vote would have to be for Four Star UPP. (I know Exceldetail swears by it and I can see why he does)

I really like AutoGlym HD...I have several tubs of it and cant say enough good about it...Its a hybrid so for your typical user you dont need a sealant (or at all) before hand...I have a tub of Pinnacle waiting for my next detail and I will report back on how I feel about that at a later date...

I have used alot of different types of waxes on lots of different cars and I have to say, Zaino is hands down the best SYSTEM there is. If you buy in to the entire system and use it per directions there is nothing that can beat it IMO. Sure it costs a little more money, but your Acura costed more than a Honda didnt it? Its all about the quality.

Saturday I hit my car with the Jesus combo: M105 and M205. Yesterday I topped it with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. I buffed that off after about 30 minutes, then let it cure for another 24 hours. Pinnacle Crystal Mist this morning. The KBP looks amazing.
I like sealants more than waxes as they tend to last longer and IMO, bring out the flake better. I used Clearkote Vanilla Moose Wax a couple summers ago and it really muted the flake so the following summer I went sealant and never looked back.

Can't wait to see it!
Also, anyone want to trade a mostly full bottle of Blackfire (I have) for a mostly full bottle of 4*UPP (I want)?

UPP will dust a bit when buffing it off, but the results are great.

I may have to try the 4* UPP. Ive used the Blackfire Wet Diamond and actually liked the results. Is the UPP much better?
