What to use to wipe off thick dust

I have a black TL and I wanted to know what to use to wipe the dust off, after washing it? I had my car washed during the day, I went out that night then came home put my car cover on and the next day it was all dusty. Since I just had it washed I didn't want wash it again, even though the dust is pretty thick.

get some "quick detailer" (Meguiar's makes one, for example) and microfiber rags.

California car duster then quick detailer if you need it.

If its too thick, then i would just wash again. Better chance of you not scratching the paint.

^ I usually always use the california duster for that. Works great. Unless there's slight moisture

If its just "dust", hose it off with high pressure, and while stil wet, squirt some QD on it, dry in usual fashion with waffle weave....
OR: If theres not a lot of accumulation, use a Cal car Duster...
OR: Cal Car Duster, then QD......

cal car duster unless dust is hard to remove with light wipe with your finger. if so then just wash it again, washing your car shouldn't take you too long(30mins, drying included).

OXO car duster. This is probably the best duster I have ever used. Why? because it has a paint-safe, contoured, non-slip handle. It's great to use with cars, trucks, vans and SUVs as well. I love knowing that I can't scratch the surface of my car even if I drop it. The BEST part about this duster is the fact that it beomes more and more effective every time you use it!

California Car Duster is the shit.

Seriously now, if it weren't for this device i would be washing my NBP up to twice a week! Just use the duster then use a moist and dry microfiber towel to hit up dirtier spots and all fly secretions. I wax my CL every 3 weeks or so and that definitely helps knocking off all the dust and crap with ease.

Hmm, guess im the only one who HATES the Cali Duster. Something about wiping dry dirt particles across your paint just dosent do it for me.

QD and a MF towel works for me.

This is a sad fact about black cars. I also have a black car and it requires more attention than the silver one. Literally about three times as much. Aside from the Duster, just be careful with "dry" wiping the car, even with MF, you can add more micro-scratches. I find that using Eagle One WAUD right after drying the car gives a much better shine and the car becomes less of a dust magnet. My "dry wash" method is that I drag a wet MF towel slowly along the lines towards the edges (more like what you would do with a shammy after a wash). Then I follow it up with a dry MF, spraying QD fist. The wet MF picks up all the dust and gunk on the finish that will be obvious with the wet MF. Make sure you use the 2-bucket system for this. Leave the glass for last.
