What could this stuff be?

I went to the auto body shop to get this scratch off my car. The guy tried to use this turtle wax stuff, which was no good. Then he whipped out a "coarser product" which was in a black 3M bottle, but I dont know what that stuff was. The thing worked like a charm, it got rid of the white look from the scratch and the scratch is basically gone. Anyone know what this 3M product is?

3M makes a series of these types of cleaners in little black bottles. He probably used their Fine Cut Cleaner. WalMart sells it.

hand glaze? i have that it comes in a 12" high and 3"diameter black bottle, but i usually use rubbing compound first then the hand glaze(but not by hand)
