waxing problem

I just recently got some Meguiar's show room wax and when I remove the wax it leaves like a faint "red/magenta" type grease stain on the black paint, and it doesn't seem to come off too easily, I had to buff it like crazy to remove it slightly, any idea's on what this is, and how to get rid of it?

I assume the wax is a new bottle.
Did you shake the bottle really well before applying?
What was the weather like outside? humid? Cold? Rainy?
What did you apply it with? Rag, applicator? What color was it?

Only thing I can think of is either you didn't shake the bottle well or whatever you applied it with had a dye in it and it came off when you applied the wax.

Let us know what it is.

Easiest way to fix it is to start over. Give your car a good wash with Dawn dishwashing liquid. That will remove all the wax for you.

It wasn't the liquid form wax, it's the meguiars wax that comes in a maroon circular container, and I waxed it with the applicator pad that came with it, the weather was actually pretty cold, humid, the car was sort of cold, could that be the reason?

thanks in advance

Sounds like it was a combination of cold and humid. Bad combination for wax application.

I say if you do it again, let the car sit out in the sun for a while. Check to see if the wax has dried, then remove.
