wax layering

wax layering

i did one coat of 3m performance finish wax earlier today and im thinking of doing another one tomorrow. Is it ok to put another coat, and if so, should i wait longer or can i go ahead and do it. thanks.

Sure you could toss on another coat if you'd like. I'm not sure what the typical curing time is for your wax but since you're doing it tomorrow, you should be fine.

i know this is going to start a debate, if its carnuba, putting on a second coat isnt going to layer it, carnuba will just melt right into the previous layer, and if it contains any cleaners at all, then nodoubt about it, it will not layer....

make sure whatever lsp you are using doesnt contain cleaners, and if you want something laterable, it best be synthetic....

Heres what it promises:
3M Performance Finish is an entirely synthetic.
Multiple coats are not necessary. 3M Performance Finish protects and shines for months with just one coat.

All sounds good! Im a packaging nut, if it looks good, I have to try it. LOL
