Never really tried it but you can pick up some Stoner's Invisible Glass or Sprayway Glass Cleaner locally. I've also read that the ZEP Glass Cleaner is actually pretty nice as well from Home Depot. I have a gallon myself that I have yet to try.

try 1/4 of white vinegar to 1 gal of warm water. Clean window with a damp rag. Wipe clean with a dry wadded up newspaper.

I have found myself venturing away from prefabricated glass cleaners. Im with Miner on this one, home remedies have worked very well. But I stray from the newspaper and stick with .....ahem........paper towels.......Then follow up with a MF.
The vinegar really helps cut the film and eliminate streaking.

ditto this!

Works like a charm. I do like the MF's better. This is what is used by framers to make sure glass is perfectly clean with no residue prior to sealing in artwork.

Yeah...newspaper supposed to be the bomb...I don't like handling newspapers.

While your glass may be clean....then you got newspaper residue all over everything if you don't immediately wash your hands.

Vinegar stinks but is the bomb cleaning tool.

But yeah...sorry never used that particular glass cleaner so I have no opinion.

I abandoned Armor All a while ago so I have no idea if they have improved their formulas or not.

is there something wrong with stoners in the aerosol form?

because thats what i have right now, and i think its leaving some kind of oily film on my windows.

thought it was my windshield wipers being old, so i replaced them and its doing the same thing.

and my back window, the rain water collects on it in one giant looking smudge...

I have Stoners, Armorall, and Windex. The windex and armorall are in the back of the cabinet now, and are heavily neglected by me

I was using the cheapest aerosol I could find at Walmart. I'm using Meguiar's NXT glass cleaner now, found it on a good sale on the web. NXT is working good, better than the other stuff I was using.

All might get rid of light ones but you might have to go to white vinegar on a cloth . If that doesn't work then I have used soapy water and #0000 steel wool ( Keep it well lunricated ) or Barkeepers Fiend if you can find it.
