Washing car myself.
if you're looking for towels... order towels from www.lazaino.com. they have excellent towels and relatively cheap. i have absolutely no qualms that the towels are damaging my car while i wash it.
I use microfiber mits, natural sheepskin mits, or natural sea sponge. You can get brushes made for wheels and tires that work well. Use a wash that is made specifically for cars, don't use dishwashing soap. Large microfiber towels made for drying work well, and that's what I use.
