I just noticed several tiny little spots on the bottom portion of the door on my fx35 (silver in color). I tried everything from scrubbing it with a wet cloth, clay bar, and 3 different maxes and the damn thing won't come off. I cam to a conclusion that the stain is actually embedded in the paint.

The stain sort of look like spots that bird shit leave after you wash it off after it's been baking for the whole day. Bird shit stains that are embedded in the paint usually come off by itself for some reason.

I drive my fx once a week and I noticed two spots on the door last Saturday. My wife took a 180 mile round trip today and when she got home, I notice there were more of these little tiny stains after her drive.

I can't take the damn thing off no matter what I do. I am open to any suggestions. I'm sort of OCD about my car and it bothers me quite a bit. Please help!

 

use some degreaser, it sounds to me like road tar, and clay usually doesn't get rid of it.

 

I don't think it's tar. It's orangeish

 

orange peel? dont know exactly what that is but jsut taking a guess.

try buffing it out with a light abrasive

 

Is it some sort of surface rust, acid rain, or industrial fallout?
