Title. I know the first UDM was different, but I was under the impression that Porter took over production of them and just gives it a label in order to spread marketshare. Correct?

Bingo, the UDM is the PC 7424XP. Although if you buy the "UDM", you get a 1 year replacement warranty, and 3 year parts warranty.

 

AFAIK, that's the same warranty as the 7424XP. At least, that's what Google tells me.

 

Porter Cable improved their warranty when they released the 7424 XP. The original 7424 was simply a 1 year limited warranty.

 

Gotcha. Got paid, and I'm making the order!
