TSX - interesting detail
So I had a guy contact me about his 04 TSX... said he was getting some PDR work done and that he'd like me to perform a full detail afterwards. I agreed, we agreed on a price and set up an appointment.
Well, I showed up and saw the PDR work

The "PDR" work he got involved bondo and spray paint!!!! The panels were SPRAY PAINTED on the car!!! Also, the guy claimed no clear coat was needed. To make things worse, the PDR guy used the wrong paint...
I ended up detailing the interior and calling it a day. He said he'd get the same guy to come back and fix it. This when I gave him at least 3 reputable body / paint shops to fix this disaster. I told him to contact me when the problem areas were fixed so I could come back to detail the exterior.
Fast forward a week, I went back to see the results... man it was horrible!

So I've never done ANYTHING like this before so I started with LC orange + M105. After HALF a fender, this is what my pad looked like.
After multiple passes on the fender, I managed to remove all the overspray and got down to the mismatched paint from my first visit...
At this point, I told the owner that I didn't want to go any further on the fender since I was afraid of removing too much clear... although I probably shouldn't have since he needed to get it repainted anyway
I skipped the rear door too and detailed the rest of the car.

Beats me. I was shocked at the craptastic "PDR" work. Its not like the owner went on the cheap either! For what he paid, he could've got a very reputable shop to paint that entire door and half of another panel.
The worst part was... the PDR guy didn't sand down the bondo properly! The sandpaper used was waay too aggressive and def needed to be followed up by something finer. You could see some pretty deep scratches in the bondo'd areas.
