Tuf Shine Tire Sealant update
Heres an update to a product I tested two weeks ago, Tuf Shine Tire Protectant.
I really, REALLY like this product. After two rainstorms, and being my wifes daily driver, this product looks as good today as it did a couple weekends ago when I applied it. Take a look for yourself!
Still no DUST ADHESION! Probably because it does not start with being oily!
Tuf Shine simply rocks!

I just finished applying my second coat and it looks brilliant! Today is just the perfect day and weather to wash and do a good cleaning job. Thanks for the update Pat. Happy customer so far with this product >).
FYI, I took about 10 minutes (3 rounds of brushing) per tire using the tire cleaner included with the package. My tires were naaaasty! I have one question... is there any harm in wiping the tire down after as opposed to letting it air dry between rounds? I let it air dry at first, but after trying to wipe it down, I could tell a bit better actually how dirty my tires still were.
I'll take some pics when I get a chance.

Sorry I was too anxious to use it so I didn't get a "before" pic. Here's a "month before" pic that I snapped after one of the storms we've been having...
Now for the clean pics from today... (LOoks like I need to pick up some brakleen for my brakes)

Sorry I'm late to this, but I was going to start a new thread and decided to add on.
How is the "slinging" on the car? This is something I HATE with other tire dressings.
By the description it seems that there shouldn't be any but I didnt see it called out.

Looks like a water based product? I love all water based tire shines, you get so much for the money. I always apply with a paint sponge thing. I like 1grand EVR, and DuPonts Tire shine, but i cant find that anymore. Been using Megs Hyper in a 4:1 dilution.
I might have to give this a shot when i run out, assuming its water based, which i'm willing to bet it is.
EDIT: looks like a gel.....good thing i wasn't really betting.

I just received my order Patrick. Based on the look one month later, how often would you recommend reapplication for us O.C.D. types?

Definitely will. However the cars I plan on using them on were actually cleaned a couple weeks ago and the tire shine is still pretty shiny so my before and afters wont be as convincing as yours. Yeah the mints are a nice lil touch that shows that the product wasnt just thrown in a box and shipped. To me it seems like a final lookover and "I care" touch to it before it's shipped. I'm in the car business and of course customer care is one of the biggest things we pay attention so that's why I feel you should be applauded for such a small gesture.

I washed my car this morning primarily to apply the Tuff Shine tire coating. Here are my observations:
- I recently purchased some new tires so I only had one or two applications of tire gel to remove. The tire cleaner in the kit cleaned the tires so well that the tires looks like flat battleship grey afterward. Those tires were super clean. GOOD STUFF!!!
- Follow the instructions exactly! I say this mostly because there is a temperature requirement of >50 degrees F. I initially messed up my first application because the outside temperature was around 40-45 degrees F. About 30% of the tire coating simply disappeared after running to the store on an errand. There was no slinging but I was initially puzzled until I REREAD the instructions. Yeah Yeah............
- The supplied sponge and tire solution was easy to work with. I applied 2 liberal coats of tire solution. I saturated the sponge and ensured that every crack and rib on the tire was well coated. The tire solution is milky when applied but dries clear. The damp sponge easily cleans up with warm water.
- There was no sun today but the garage pics still show a perfect looking tire. You can literally wipe your finger across the tire and there is 0 residue. NONE!!!
- I am still a little skeptical about durability. I am having a hard time accepting that this tire coating will not simply wash off or dull after a couple of weeks. I have to break that mental barrier.
- So far, GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!

Yeah baby!! I showed a detailer TS yesterday, whom I regularly supply products to his company. Not knowing what I was getting into, I said "Sako, this is after 3 weeks", and rubbed my fingers across and showed him.......nothing, nothing was there. Dust doesnt even adhere.
Steve, I hope your as satisfied with this as I am......Im still super stoked! Wooooot!

^^^Sweet. THanks for sharing. Looks hot with the A-specs!
I'm at my 2 weeks now without a wash and my tires are taking a beating from my 60 mile overall daily commute). Every morning I leave the house, they look really fresh still with a shimmer. The glossy/wetness is now subsided similar to Pat's initial pics in this update thread. Despite that, it's really clean! My rears are looking better than my fronts I'm assuming because of heavier brake dust in the front. (Stinking traffic .) When I wipe my finger in the front, there's some dust/dirt, but no slingy/oily dirt. When I wipe my finger in the rear, there's close to no dirtiness on my finger at all. I'll try and get some update pics, but there's a chance of a storm passing by tomorrow morning. So far still satisfied >)
