Treating Leather

I have a 2008 TL that has the dark gray/black leather that has the small pin holes in it. Was curious what you all use to clean and treat your leather? I have used Zaino Z-10 Leather in a bottle and love the smell, but recently got a bottle of Leather Afterlife Leather Conditioner since my wife needed to treat her boots.

Seems like people love the Leather Afterlife and use it in their cars all the time. Just not sure if any of these conditioners actually work well or not since I've read that the leather used in most cars is treated in some odd way. Anyone know if this is legit, and if a conditioner like the one I listed is worth using?

I second that. After reading a ton of threads on the BMW/Lexus/Infinity forums I came to the conclusion that leatherique is the product to buy. I am now waiting to have a day off when the temps are in the high 20 C to 30 C so that I could apply the rejuvenator and let it soak in for the duration of the day.

There should be different product recommendation, based on what you are trying to accomplish. If your leather is perfect, and you are just trying to maintain it, then I would apply anything very sparingly.

I've seen people saturate new looking leather with conditioner, thinking they are going to 'protect' it. All it did was make the leather slippery, and more wrinkly/aged looking.

I just use a tiny bit of cleaner/conditioner on any area that may be dirty. I leave the rest alone.

If you are trying to restore, than yes, it's a different story.

The leather is coated and really cant be conditioned. It can be cleaned and dressed.

This might help you
