Too Cold to Detail???

it gets pretty chilly here in Jersey. Right now its about 35 degrees. I don't have a garage to do my work in but i do have a car port. Will this kind of weather have any adverse effect on detailing products such as polish and waxes?

most polishes need temps of above 60F to work and brake down properly, if its not in above that range they most like will not brake down and will be hard to remove. on top you gona freeze your hands off working in near freezing temps. you will have to find garage or wait till it warms up to 60 somehow

Actually, humidity is a worse cursor then cold. I know folks who have detailed in the mid 40's. It works, its just not all that comfortable. I would rather work in the 40's then the 100's. But thats me, lol. You will more then likely have to take additional time removing product, but thats just the consequences of detailing in cooler weather. The machine will undoubtedly break the abrasives down, bu the oils wont get thin and as manageable as they are in warmer weather. Thus "additional " time.
Im caring for cars this weekend when it warms up to the mid 70's. Eat your heart out!

It is never too cold to detail

Sorry, first thought that came to mind when I read the title

A lot of people like to wear rubber gloves for washing and drying so they don't freeze their hands off. Other than that, only thing I know about cold-weather detailing is that it takes longer for most waxes to cure.

Yea, 8 degrees right now... I wouldn't mind detailing in anything above 40-45.
