Todays detail 99 Dodge Viper.....
Well i was really hoping to try Bullet Twins out today, but the cards didnt play entirely in my favor. This 99 Viper really needed some help, and I was afraid to try a new cleaner out on it, for fear of wasting time. I did get to use some of it by hand though in places too tight for the PC, so all is not lost. And.....it responded favorably. It was actually like using a cleaner with a slick Polymer in it. Wiped on very easy, and off just like a Polymer. Cleaned shoe scuffs off the lower panels with the best of ease. And the areas I did use it on really cleaned up nicley, like all the lower sill panels, rear bumper, and behind the front wheels inside the vents. These areas were done by hand. Everywhere else got Opt Pol, with a white pad, speed 6 with the UDM. Then the Viper was sealed with a Red pad, with the Bullet Proof Sealant. I did the entire car before wiping off with a microfiber. The sealant was nowhere near as oily as my fav UPP. It wiped off very easy as well. usually Poly tend to slicken up over the hrs as they cure, but after 5 hrs on this beast, i was pooped.
From 1-5, 5 being the best of the bunch.
Ease of use: Cleaner 4, Sealant 4
Concentration: Cleaner 3.5, Sealant 4
Durability, unknown
Effectiveness: Cleaner 5, Sealant 4.5
Overall: Cleaner 4.5, Sealant 4.5
Keepers? Yup.....
Before and afters:
I dont know why this came out like this!! LOL
The poor wheels were trashed, The prior owner, i believe, took some steel wool to these aluminums, and just trashed em! They really need to be removed and properly polished via a dip bath......
Such a cool color, the pics (at least mine) really do no justice. And the paint was a pleasure to work with........

patrick, thoes wheels are soo flat, i think you could have taken your udm/pc and a white pad and polish and gotten some really good results....
i on the other hand would probably get some new wheel....the car is hot, the wheels not so hot...

Vin, no way of using the UDM on the wheels.......I mean I guess you could but inevitably, there are areas that the UDM wouldnt accommodate, then they would really look bad. At first I tried by hand with some Surf City All Aluminum, which made a huge difference, but it also revealed the the wheels skeletons, steel wool scars. I ended up finishing with a Mothers Powerball (which I hate by the way). Oh, I should mention, I used the Laitner Powerbrush and Ace Powerstick for those real deep 10"+ rear wheels.
Im tellin you folks, if you havent witnessed or used one or both of these items, they are mandatory if your detailing on the side. You never know what your going to get into!
I was kind of cool when all was said and done. The owner is this young man, probably mid 20's. After I had called him out of his apt to view the results, he admitted he was kind of stunned, agreeing it looked better now then when he had bought it. But what was most flattering, was as I had reached for a Titan Towel (for a final wipedown) when I was turning back around, he had this ear to ear grin, like a kid in a candy store. As soon as he noticed I saw him, the grin shrank, almost like he was embarrased. LOL

Great results! The car looks great and that red really pops now.
On a side note, does the guy live in an apartment complex and park it there or is that just where you detailed it? I'd expect to see a Viper in a garage under cover.
