Todays detail - 4Runner

This 4Runner was waxed by the owner who used boat & airplane wax on it then left it sit for a bit then tried to take it off with terry bath towels.

The towels were clean but terry is pretty abrasive'
I washed .. clayed then

I guess one of the points the nube detailers should pick up on in this is not all old bath towels are suitable for wax/sealant removeal. This is pretty radical marring and shows up well on black but in essence you can be doing this to a lesser degree on a lighter colored car and never see it to this extent ..BUT.. it still there and degrades the polish/wax job you just did.

Order yourself some proper M/F towels for wax removal .. I'm sure Excell can set you up with a 1/2 doz or so .. or drop into Costco and get some .. quality might be down a bit but its a lot better than towels / diapers / rags for removal.

Is there an issue or concern about Collinite? Or are you just tying in the fact that the ower used boat/aviation wax?

Rob

No Issue with Collinite, I am a huge fan. Just a reference to the boat/aviation wax remark, as I know Collinite is used in many different applications, including boats and planes.

I am a huge fan of 845IW.
