Todays detail: 05 G35
I know, I know, its not an Acura..........but theres a lesson to be learned here. And.......
I have a surprise coming up for you afficianados in about 2 weeks. I'll spill the beans at that time.....
The owner of this G happens to work at an auto dealership. The young man was turned on to a product one of the detailers recommended, for removing water spots. Well without proper direction or mixing instructions, he elected to give it a go. It appeared to have been an acid base product which stained the glass and everything plastic it came in contact with, i.e. lower plastic body trim, headlights, chrome trim. The reason he was using the water spot remover was for some bad (about a 3.5 on a 1-5 scale) water spots/etching that were left unattended for too long.
After a good Freedom One wash, and heavy clay job, I used a white LC with Four Star Body Shop Medium Cut Compound, and sealed up with FS UPP. The color on this G is beautiful, and for those who dont care for detailing silver, I think you have met your match. This has just the right amount of flake, which really glistens once its cleaned up with a good polish. The FS UPP just helps add to it with some incredible reflectiveness and glow. Wheels were cleaned with Freedom One, tires treated with FS Tire Gel.

hmmmmm.... someone not reading the directions??? Nah... would never happen!! LOL
Nice job Pat!!
I don't mind detailing Silver... but then I have a Silver car, but what I like about silver is that they dont show the dirt and scratches like a dark color, but then they dont show off the level of detail work either. Or at least that is my opinion on it.

+1, these are the posts I wait all week for! Love to see the excellent work that Patrick does. Drives me to improve my weak detailing skills.

I may not ever post in this forum, but I always look forward to reading these threads. You do a great job and obviously put a lot of time, effort, and thought into what you do. I only wish that I lived closer to you, because I can't seem to find a good detailer in my area.
