tire shine residue question

anybody have an effective way to remove the tire shine residue on the driveway? normally i wouldnt really care because after some time and a halt on the process in the driveway, it seems to fade. but im trying to get this out asap. any responses would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys

quick background story behind thread: moving out of a house that i lived in with a few friends for a little less than two years--im moving in with my girl and my former house mates are bitter, so decide to complain about anything and everything....pathetic

Asphalt or concrete? Have you tried an all purpose cleaner? Anything?

Use sand or cat liter. Use the brush or broom and constantly sweep back and forth and use the sole of the shoes you're wearing to abrasively break the particles into finer pieces as you scrub it into the ground it will absorb the grease and you'll no longer see oil or tire shine on the surface of the ground. This also works for oil spills from a diy oil change.

Any all purpose cleaner will remove the asphalts oils, so lets count that one out. If its been in there awhile, you may be out of luck. You could also try some dishsoap and a nylon brush.
