Tire dressing
Maybe it's just my brand of tires, but they get so dirty/dull looking even a day or two after a fresh coat of dressing. I don't mind reapplying it so much, but with a white car I find myself having to wipe off black marks on the entire side of my car each time I take it out. So far I've tried Eagle One spray... and the Meguiar's liquid gel stuff you apply with a foam pad. The spray doesn't fly off as much onto my car when dry - but it doesn't last as long as the gel and it also requires me to clean my rims after I spray it on. The liquid gel takes forever to dry (if ever), and even extremely light applications leave me with a ton drops/streaks to wipe off after a drive.
What products and techniques do you all use? And at what point in the detailing process do you dress your tires?
thanks!

I have some other kind of gel thats better than meguiars...I think its eagle one but I'm not 100% sure. It comes in a black bottle...dries very quickly and keeps the tires looking wet for at least a week. I'll check the brand when I get home...but they sell it at auto zone. I have white cls too so I know what you are talking about...this stuff works great.

You biggest problem is using a gel. It's remains in a liquid state on the tires and attracts dust like a magnet.
Try one of these products...low dust attraction, nice semi-gloss finish
303 Protectant - available at any marine supply store
Zaino Z16 tire dressing - www.zainobros.com

Meguiars drys and does not stay sticky to attact dust and stays on even after driving in the rain or washing.
Good stuff, I highly recommend.

I use Tirewet, applied with Eagle one tire swpies, I don't use in excess. It happens, roads are dirty mang. If it's spraying all over the car, means your using too much.

i use this stuff called T-1000, i forgot who makes it, but my vendors bring it to me. I can check on the manufacturer. Works great. Dressing the tires is the absolute last step in the washing process.

Ya I picked up some 303 and I will try that. Lots on autopia.org use it as well. The only problem is that's expensive stuff to be spraying on tires (relative to other products specific for tire dressing).

I love it. Very easy to apply and never gets all over the car.
(just don't apply it on a windy day )

Gunk makes something that sounds similar to Stoner's spray. Not really shiny, just keeps them black for a long time.
Degreasing/scrubbing your tires every wash really helps your tire shine do it's job. Castrol Superclean works really well.
