Tinting windows - Need referral in Central MA/RI area.

I'm thinking about tinting my 03 CL Type S 6-sp but concerned about the large rear window. I've had tinting done on other autos and noticed film bubbles in spots.

My biggest concern is the size of the rear window. Will there be multiple strips or does it come in a large sheet without seams?

I would also like to know of a few top notch dealers in Central MA or RI area that do quality work.

Thanks for your feedback.

Steve

The guy that tinted mine did it in one sheet. Didn't go behind the 3rd brake light though but it still looks fine IMO. Make sure they tint over that textured part at the top of the window. I heard someone say that they didn't do that on theirs because they were worried about it not sticking and he said it looked bad. They did it on mine and it looks fine. A pro should never leave bubbles...not if he expects to get paid for his work.

stejus: I helped out my step dad in his tint shop in CT. He is located near the RI / CT border. I am not saying this b/e he is my step dad or anything but he is a perfectionist and all his job have to be perfect, he guarntees the tint for life. He does all his tinting by himself. Send me an email at j.leon10@verizon.net and I will get you in contact with him and get you a price break.

If they can't do it in one piece, they're not worth it. Even some of the most experienced tinters have a hard time getting the tint to stick to the texture at the top of the window. You can also tint up to the edge of the texture and then have the texture painted out. I don't even notice the reduction in rear window size on mine. Two coats of gloss followed by one coat of flat black to match the interior looks great.
