Is there a need to polish?

So i detailed the audi yesterday and realized i went from claying to adding Poorboys EX with carnuba. Is that ok? I didnt have any swirls to deal with either.

Well, if you admire the way it looks now, I can only add that a little polish goes a long way in clarity.
Your ok with what you did, but polishing prior will also add to the sealant longevity by allowing better adhesion......

Like I said a little polish surely helps.....
The TL was treated with SSR 2, and Four Star Ultimate Paint Protectant Spray.
The Porsche Optimum Polish and Four Star again.....

I would always want to polish, it gets rid of any water spots or small imperfections.

Here's a pic of what I did during the weekend.
SSR 2.5-->EX-P

No, SSR 2 finishes real nice with the proper pad.......You may find additional benefit with something less abrasive, depending on car manufacturer, and cc hardness.....Your always better off finisheing up with the least abrasive, theres no doubt about that....
VB thats beautiful for 2.5! Nothing afterwards ??
getright, all happy campers........ Thanks for the comp.....

Ive used SSR 2.5(yellow pad) --> AIO(white) --> UPP(hand). The 2.5 broke down beautifully after wokring it in for a little bit, and I saw no need for follow up with anything less abrasive. I've tried SSR 1 a few times, but never noticed a benefit, its now sitting on a shelf, gathering dust.

Well, EX-P and Natty's on top.

I find PB SSR is a lot easier to use than Meguiar's line. They are easier to wipe off once it's all broken down, leaving a slicker finish too..
