you will need to polish the swirls out. waxing won't provide any permanent fix, it'll just temporarily cover up the swirls. how much is he willing to spend? you can invest in an orbital buffer like the Porter Cable 7424 XP ($120-$150). check out this article:

Is this something you want to hire and get professionally done?

Are you willing to buy ALL the necessary products and fix it yourself? What is your dad's budget?

We he can either invest about $200.00 and be setup for several years or spend a couple hundred (at least) and be setup for about 6 months (if hes lucky). Those are your options to tell him....

Well, I guess it all depends on how he is going to do this. Either invest into the tools and products and do it yourself or pay someone to do it.

he says no more than $300. im a little mad that it got to this point. it has a little more swirl marks than todd who did that tl(more than that are on the trunk lid all over the car) that alann posted. and by the way my dad puts it he knows this wont fix it the first time hell have to do this a few times.

if it's pretty bad, consider getting the porter cable 7424xp along with a wool pad and some meguiar's M105 ultra cut compound. hopefully that will do the trick.

I would opt for the XP, Optimum Hyper Polish Spray, 5.5" Orange, White and Red polishing pads.......Add some FK1000p or Optimum Spray Wax, DG 105 or FS UPP and he's good to go....

ok well we got some news from the news and internet. my mom lost her job about 6 months ago and has been getting money from the unemployment but they say that could end. i feel for her but my dad still pulls in money it get everything payed and all so thats good. but the option to spend 200-300$ for swirls is out the window. however we went to meguiars website and read stuff and looked at stuff and found that their ultimate compound, deep crystal polish and nxt 2.0 wax would have to do. we got the box in today and did a test section on the hood and split it in half. and wow it works better than i thought . there are still some swirls but not as bad as it was before. so itll have to do for now but im sure the tsx is a lot happier. thanks for all your guys help...

Fuck the PC and spend a lil extra for the flex.

also i love the 4* UPP. ppl have asked me what kind of wax i use on my car all the time. they dont realize that i polish with the flex and finish it off with the UPP. i just tellem i use the UPP. gives it a shiney hard candy look.
