Stupid question

I just picked up a beautiful black 98 3.0 - great shape, low miles.

I know this is an insanely stupid question, but...

I'm going to wax it in the next day or so, should I wax the bumpers?
They are some kind of plastic or something, right?
Is wax ok to use on them?

Yes, I said it was a stupid question, it's just that I love this
car, and I'm afraid to screw it up.

If its paint, it wants wax or Z.

BTW, welcome to the forum. New members get 3 dumb questions, then.......explicit instructions on the search feature and Chods' site.

BC, I like the 3 dumb Q rule. Never thought of it, I normally just tell the Noobs to search right away.

if it's not paint and you wax it it might get that nasty white film which never comes off. what color is the plastic? you can use products designated for that color or material. forever black and black magic work wonders for black moldings and rubbers. aalso a high quality detail spray will bring a nice shine out of it.

Thanks

Thanks for the input.

I'll stop at the store on the way home tonight, pick up some Z, stuff for black plastic, and restock my detail spray.

I'm taking the day off tomorrow, guess what I'll be doing!
