So how do you guys keep your dash clean?
Just wondering what you guys are using. I dont want to use Amorall since it will make the dash turn into some shiny plastic. What are u guys using to retain the orignal finish of the dash while cleaning it? Thanks in advance

All I do is use my damp microfiber towel after drying the car. Works like a charm and doesn't make anything glossy (looks just like when you picked it up from the dealer). I also use the damp cloth to clean the Navi screen -- works great!

That is precisely what I do too. Quick and easy!

I have been using the Swifter cloths to run over the dash... picks up all the lint, dust, etc from the dash and holds it.
I clean the Nav screen with a little bit of eyeglass cleaner sprayed onto a soft cotton cloth, just remember to spray onto the cloth and not onto the screen directly.
The guage cluster cleans easiest with a lambs wool duster, as this will not leave scratches on the clear plastic covering the guages.

People have recommended 303 Aerospace Protectant. I haven't used it myself, but I hear its good. I'm planning on getting it soon.

303 Aerospace Protectant. The only product which will get your dash back to the state when you took delivery. Clean with water:woolite (6:1) and clean towel. Dry and then apply 303 AP. You'll be amazed by the result.

I just dust it, haven't ever put anything on it in the 6 years i've owned it. Sits in the sun all day, no fading or cracking

i also use the california dust cleaner cloth, works really good. i just got my hands on the little container of ummm lik compresses air in a can with lik stuff in it. it blows away all dust and is very useful esepecially on the nav screen. but if u tilt the bottle, a liquid will come out wich i lik liquid nitrogen(its very cold!!!) lol

Just like paint, to get the best results you need to start with a squeaky clean base. I use distilled water and clear vinegar (10:1) , or distilled water and a small squeeze of my favorote car wash. Use a soft brush to get in the nooks and crannies, dry with a towel, and let the dash dry. THEN, apply 303 or Lexol Vinylex - the best vinyl treatments I have found. Sesame oil works well, but is hard to source.

whatever you decide to use, spray it on the towel/applicator and apply and don't spray it on the dash since it will get all over the parts you don't want to (especially the windshield which is a pain to clean and makes for a longer project). Also, to prevent sun glare, after it dries, buff with a clean towel. Also, after applying, open the windows to let it air out to prevent the evaporated product from covering the inside windows.
