snowbound state questions

Hey guys,

Just curious how you all maintain the undercarriage of your vehicles during the winter months? I've been running my car through the touchless car wash with the undercarriage wash to remove all of the salt, and keep my drain holes clear. I try to ONR it, but I'm not sure how to properly care of the undercarriage of my car during the winter months, without going to a touchless wash with an undercarriage wash. Does anyone have any ideas - what do you all do?

Thanks much!

Jeff

When I still lived in Jersey, I would do the exact same you're doing. Go thru the touchless w/undercarraige every 2-3 weeks to flush the underside of my car. Every week I would also go to the coin operated wash just to rinse the road salt off the body and the wheelwells.

Before the onset of winter, I would do a complete detail and made sure to pay extra attention to the engine bay and wheelwells. I jacked up the car and did the undercarraige too.

get a pressurewasher and spray down the car top to bottom, then starting with the center of the under-carriage, spray outwards.
