should i wait or detail the car?
should i wait or detail the car?
hi. i have detailed my black tsx about 2 months ago. i got most of the swirl out of the surface but still i can see the presence. can i detail the car with OP polish and Sonus green das pad without thinning the clearcoat?
or should i use UPC to just remove very slight imperfection?
thanks for reading!

You will always notice one area which appears nicer then its neighbor, especially with black. Its important to complete more then you think. I would maybe try to repair the panel in question, then stand back and see if you can live with it.....
Any time you use an abrasive polish, your removing a very minute layer of clear (assuming you have CC), that is unavoidable. Paint cleaners are less of an issue.

Is UPC a chemical cleaner with no grit?
You want I should grind away at swirl with a pad, using UPC as lube?
UPC worked nice, brightening the color, but thought was not used for swirl.
Think the UPC does not contain mineral spirits, don't know what it contains, or how dangerous it is, but works effortless without a PC.

I hope we're talking about the same product. UPC = Ultimate Paint Cleanser; should remove fine swirls while cleaning and adding gloss to the paint. It can be applied by hand, but most prefer using a PC. That's why I suggested using OP with a light polishing pad in the event the swirls are still evident.
