the seats,, the damn seats!!!

ok i have read most of the threads on the leather,,, and the seats.
i do condition my seats (06 tl) w z10 leather in a bottle (smells great btw) a couple times a year. ...and obviously my driver seat is worse than my passenger seat due to the "in and out" everyday and nobody really sits in my passenger seat (maybe one person a week for a short ride) so that still look brand new. so my driver seat has the obvious "starting to crack" look which i can maintain but ......

my question is....on the seat itself, the leather is stretching,,,,,,,,,meaning when i get out of the seat it looks like the leather grew,,,,,,,,,leaving the seat look bad with bumps and folds in the seat. (u follow?)

any suggestions on how it can tighten and go back?
i know that sounds crazy but can it happen?

or do i just do the normal conditioning, 303, bla bla bla.?
looking forward to your responses. enjoy the rest of ur day!!!

I think what your seeing is just the seat after exposure to your (Excuse the selection of words here) ass warmth. The leather will stretch out a little with warmth, and weight, but should return to normal when it cools down.
Do you find it looks pretty good after you havent been in it awhile? Ive done quite a few TL's and gavent really noticed this before. Of course I may be missing the boat altogether here.....

someone told me not to use leather cleaners. all they do is harden the leather and if you dont apply them consistantly they will crack.

Bah...........make sure you justuse a mild cleaning solution made for leather. Then recondition. Should be part of your interior maintenance routine, every 60-75 days or so. More often in high temp/U.V. and lower latitudes.

thanks for ur replys.
i do find it looking much better when i have not been in it for a while.
in fact, all winter long, it sits (with the every other day start up) and i allow my jeep to step up to the plate. sooooooo
it looks much better now rather then the summer time.
like i said, my passenger seat looks brand new.
it just hurts when i sit down and compare the two.

i do think u r right about the seat warmth.
let me know ur thoughts?

here r some pic from my phone.

Sis, you have to realize its not resistant to a little wear and stretching. If it didnt do that, then it would crack. It has to have some give.......Just keep them conditioned periodically. Theres really nothing you can do about it in all honesty. The side bolsters are the first to show signs of wear, as you can see. I have a 05 TL im detailing tomorrow. I'll take a good look at his and snap a pic or two for you.......

i do realize the daily grind. i have just been in other tl type cars (bmw, infin, etc) and have notice better wear. oh well. i do hope the next gen tl will have better leather inside as the rest of the ride is almost perfect. i will continue to condition as i thought previously.
what do you reccomend as a detail specialist? i currently use z10 which is the only brand/type of conditioner i know right now as i never used anythig else to compare.
i appreciate any pics or advice you can give.
keeping it real-sistim_t

If you currently have that, there is no sense into making another purchase at the moment. Some of my fav's are the Duragloss shampoo and conditioner, as well as the Four Star gel packages.....
