The best and easiest way to remove them is a PC with a polishing pad and light cut polish.

I still dont understand how you get scratches "all over your car" from one time through a touchless car wash. Doesnt make sense.

Cause it probably isn't really touch -ess. Or they mean "not touched by a person/monkey", but just by filthy rollers. Only other way is if it was hand dried by a person/monkey.

I guess maybe the swirls were dealer installed and you just noticed them?

Anyway, look into a Porter Cable 7336 or 7424 (same thing), and then use polish to get the marks out.

Welcome to the obsession...

Unfortunately, the products they use are not the products one would use, to avoid marring. They use alleged "cotton" towels, which may or may not be used on several cars during the process, removing debris all the while.
They are in it for a buck, not for swirl avoidance. The every day housewife or 8 to 5'er just doesnt know better.....

But a touchless carwash doesnt use towels. They use water pressure to wash and air to dry.

maybe you had some kind of fillers from your wax on the paint that hid the swirls and the strong soap removed those fillers

I'll get some pics. I have a lot of pics I need for a car care article im working on. Mine are so outdated, I need to really spend some time on the site with new stuff.....Even the How to's on here need some upgrading.......
Oh, and as for the only true touchless ive seen, they're usually at the gas stations. Drive through, soap up, then the high pressure air blast. I dont know why or how people think this gets their car clean. I mean seriously, how do you get a car clean without touching it? Try that next time your in the shower!

There's a touchless carwash at my local gas station that's pretty new. It does a pretty darn good job at getting cars clean with water pressure alone. I'm confused at how it works, though. I've tried getting my car clean myself at the quarter bays using solely the pressure of the nozzle (with combination of the high pressure soap option). It doesn't work.... but it works at the carwash. Either way, I avoid them anyhow, I don't like the idea of repeatedly subjecting my car to water at high pressure unless I'm in control of it. Have you ever put your finger in front of one of those nozzles... it hurts.

Anyhow, don't a lot of these touchless carwashes use recycled water anyhow?

The water pressure at the touchless car wash is considerably more than at the carwash bays.

If I recall correctly, TOGWT once posted regarding the actual chemicals used at those "touchless" washes. The PH of the additives/soaps was such that they required significant plaquarding (HazMat style).

If you like the waxes and sealants you put on your car, keep in mind that these touchless washes may compromise the durability, if not the very existence of these LSPs.

no matter what ended up causing them (i feel that the fillers on your paint before covered them up), youre going to need to look into a buffer, the PC7424/7336 in particular. this will create just enough heat for correction and have different speeds for different products. its relatively inexpensive and will def. take care of your problems.

food for thought, NEVER, NO MATTER WHAT, put your car through an auto car wash. steal someon else's water if you have to, just dont do it. you will pay for it in the end.
