Removing scuffs from twigs and branches
I went out driving tonight with JK5one (in my car) and I went down a windy road. Short story even shorter, I took a turn too fast and drove off the road a little. I didn't hit anything and my alignment is okay.
The problem is that a bunch of little twigs hit my car and left scuffs along the drivers side. It didn't go through my paint, but the clearcoat might be scuffed.
My question is, will it be possible to remove them using a buffer? It would be great to figure out how to remove it (if it's possible).

Would using meguires scratch x leave a considerable difference in surface quality? I mean when comparing to stock paint and the rebuffed surface?
Also I should use an orbital buffer on that sort of work, correct?

A "random" orbital would be your best shot. Its not going to hurt anything by buffing the scratches out, and you'll probably want to polish the whole car out after your drivers side.....But before you go out and buy one, try the ScratchX by hand first (Or any other polish you have at hand). Then seal with a protectant. Pics would help....
Do you have any products laying around?

Yes a random orbitol polisher (Porter Cable 7424) is the best way to remove scratches.
You can do the polishing by hand, but the Porter cable is the most effective way to polish paint.
I bought mine from www.coastaltools.com.
For a polish, a swirl mark removing polish is what you need( this works by hand or machine)
