Question Reducing Static on Freshly Waxed Paint...?

This weekend I spent a half a day washing & waxing & shining my car to its ultimate beauty, only to drive home and have it covered in dust! Is there a product that will reduce the static after waxing a car? Or is there any harm in spraying a product like Static Guard on a cloth and wiping it on your paint? The dust is going to be the death of me trying to keep my car looking freshly waxed!

You'll find the dust less of a problem after some of those oils have evaporated, and/or you have washed it. Use of quick detailers can help a great deal....

I used the OSW for a QD just last night and still, I can even hear the static when I'm wiping. Maybe next time I wash my MF and cotton towels, I'll let them air dry rather than put them in the dryer; I'm sure the dryer adds a bit of static as well to the cloths as I'm not using fab. softener.

Good point. I toss my towels in the dryer, but remove them while they're still damp. I also tend to follow any topcoat with a light misting of QD spray and a final light buff. Removes static and also ensures I catch the spots I missed.
