RainX Be Gone! - Help!

So I have this love/hate thing with RainX. It works great, but in light
and misty conditions, the wipers get smeary because of how the RainX
works with small drops. When it's pouring, it's great. This is particularly
a problem at night when the smear turns to clear. Changing to a brand new
set of wiper blades was just as bad.

I've had RainX on for 3 months now and it isn't going away or wearing
off much. I'd like to remove it from the front, any easy way to strip
it off? It really adheres to the windshield and I am wondering what,
short of a commercial stripping agent, will clean it off - or do I just
have to let it wear off over time?

Turpentine (yikes!), alchohol, soft scrub? I have a mild citrus window
restorer, but it didn't do much.

What's the best way to get it off?

FYI - I tried a set of 24" Lexor blades. They worked OK, but the car really
needs 26" on the driver side. Trico makes a set of Teflon in 26", so I'm
going to try them. Silblade doesn't make 26"

I just did a search on the Rain-X site. They have another product for sale (of course) to remove the Rain-X.
Rain-X® Glass Treatment can be removed from exterior glass by using either Rain-X® Glass Polish (Under "Glass Cleaner") or Bon-Ami Cleaning Powder or Soft Scrub cleaner.

Follow Up

I managed to clean my windshield this weekend with BonAmi Cleanser.
Following the instructions, I turned it into a soapy suds liquid and then used
a sponge to go over the window several times. DO NOT APPLY DIRECTLY
TO THE WINDOW! Says this on RainXs site and on the BonAmi can. So I
guess there must be a reason for it. Used faily gentle pressure.

BonAmi is great at cleaning stainless steel pots and the like, it's pretty
mild compared to regular cleansers

No scratches at all and water stopped beading up on the windshield after two
passes, so I think it worked. Windshield is very clean. I still am using RainX
on the mirros and back window.

It hasn't rained yet, but I suspect it will be alot better. Also, I've
found it's very hard to find 26"/19" blades (the 26" anyway) for the
2004 TL, but ordered a pair of Trico Teflon which makes the 26".
I'd advise against using a 24" on the driver side. It works OK, but really
shortchanges the car and leaves a gap that should be.

I'll update on how this works when I get them since I had to mail order.

A pair of Teflon for the Acura was $27 or so from midwayautosupply.com
