I've used it for years and regularly replace my wipers, so I haven't seen any unordinary wear and tear, but I'm sure some does happen. Wouldn't worry about it. With RainX you won't even need to use your wipers so, don't sweat it.

I personally hate rain X cuz if you use too much it leaves a haze on your windows (kinda looks like smoke film) and the glare from the sun suck too....and it does eat your wipers.
heres a thread of others opinions

its kinda funny - but everytime i pick up a bottle and read the directions . .for some reason i dont think its worth the hassle. i may be wrong on that - but the directions seemed , umm, tedious?

so i just started using zaino on my glass as well . . . works just like it - and doesnt change my detailing routine . .

I apply before washing your car.

I use the Rain-X wipes. Apply to dirty windows and let dry. Get a lot of water on windows with a hose, wipe with paper towels or cloth.

Then I wash my car.

With excess water there is no buffing.
