Question on dryin car

While washing my car and drying it with shamy and cotton towel, I always prior to drying encounter small live bugs trapped on the residual water. Does drying and smearing the bug on the towel and paint affects the finish? Will it scratch the finish?

I've had that happen also, i just try to flick em off. Dont think they harm the finish though.

I keep the hose handy and when icome across that, I just spray the water and bugs off of that section of the car. Then I just continue drying.

thanks, guy. I just thought this will contribute to scratches on the paint.
