Question about WHEN to put wax on....
Ok im confused here....
How many people when they wax their car.... that they DAWN their car before they WAX?
OR do you just wash your car with normal car wash soap, and then put wax over the old wax that you applied last time?
For me, I dawn my car every month and then put 3 coats of wax...
Does it hurt not to DAWN everytime you add wax??

I just dawn before I clay my car, which is 2 times a year. Everytime my car gets dirty again, I wash my car with mguire's car wash soap and clean the whole damn car. I use my leaf blower to dry off my car so I dont get any water spots. When the car is dry I apply my first coat of Z1, let it dry, then apply Z2. When that dries, I put another 2 coats. After that, I apply my Z6. and thats it! Car becomes really shiny!

I know that... but im just saying.. i always start fresh everytime i wax the car.. Imfauz doesnt.. he washes the car with regular wash and then puts wax on top of the old wax.. it that good to do?
ok say you DAWN your car... then you put like 3 coats of wax on it... then a month goes by and you wash the car with normal car wash... then you put wax on again without striping the old wax.. is that good to go?

Depends on what wax you use.
Carnauba typically does not layer like a polymer does, Zaino, Blackfire. Carnauba, if left on a hot car, evaporates at pretty low heat point. That's why they typically tell you to wax more often with carnauba.
If you Dawn wash each type on a carnauba, you're pretty much stripping off the old wax layers, stripping each time won't give you much of a deep shine.
With Zaino or BF, unless you use a lot of Dawn, it won't remove the layers.
My suggestion...get some good quality car wash and keep the Dawn in the kitchen.

Like Infamuz...I only Dawn twice a year when I clay. I think you may just be wasting wax. Putting wax on top of wax only adds depth of color to the paint. Looks deeeeeeeep if many coats of wax are one on top of the other. I wouldn't worry about it, but it is good to renew every now and again, from the base of your paint. I do this once at the end of spring (gotta get ready to impress hoes in da summa') and once towards the end of fall, prepping for a moist winter.
